What can we expect in 2015?

We are now a month into 2015 and the question everyone is asking is what can we expect this year? We may still not have hover boards or glasses which see into the future but as we enter each month we may be faced with new technologies emerging from different markets.

Most of the new technology evolving this year is an extension of the technology which was born in 2013. Wearable technology has been expanding since 2013 but we should expect a lot more to come this year.

In 2013 Google Glass released the Explorer edition to a small group of people to test the product. There are still many unanswered questions in relation to Google Glass so we will be looking for these in the coming year.

Last Christmas, the selfie stick was one of the top selling products around the world. Yes we all thought this was a ridiculous idea when it hit the market but I feel it was a clever invention. Many people may not agree with me but whether you like it or not, I believe the selfie stick is here to stay for a while.

Drones are another attractive device set to take over in 2015. Drones have been created to allow you to undertake certain tasks, such as take the perfect selfie, ones which can fly themselves and drones which also connect with your smartphone. I personally think the current drones will include many more functionalities in the future.

These are just a few changes which we are likely to see in 2015 – but I am sure there will be plenty of other devices hitting the market that we are least expecting.
